The entertaining and fast paced half-hour is packed with exciting footage of the races, but it also focuses somewhat on the Kern River Valley and the local volunteers whose efforts made the entire event so enjoyable for everyone. The documentary's soundtrack features the original Country & Western music of Kernville's own Butch Dubarri. The music is from his albums, "Fences & Walls" and "Singing To The Moon". He has re-written the lyrics of four of his songs, to make them specifically about Wildwater kayaking, the Kern River and historic Whiskey Flat, the gold mining camp which became Kernville, CA, the town that hosted these 2003 World Cups. The first public screening was held on April 16th, the weekend of the Kern River Festival, an annual slalom and rodeo kayaking event held in Kernville. According to an article by Mike Devich, Managing Editor of the Kern Valley Sun, the audience of about 150 was, "...impressed with what they had experienced. Tom Moore, of Sierra South Mountain Sports in Kernville, said, 'It's the best (Kern River) footage I've ever seen.' The footage was spectacular, with individual droplets of water clearly visible as the competitors' boats went by." Christopher Wiegand, Front Range Paddling Association's Executive Director and USA Wildwater Junior National Team Coach says the documentary has, "... some of the best racing footage ever. Boat and helmet cams show the full racers perspectives, in depth interviews allow you to meet each athlete. This is the new age Fast and Clean of Wildwater."
